about

Recorded in an old ex-post office in Ardeonaig, Loch Tay, Scotland. I seem to remember listening to a lot of Yellow Magic Orchestra around this time in my life. I think it's seeped in to the mix. I'd rented the cottage from a friend for a month and gone up without any distractions and made an album's worth of tracks. In the end I've only used around 10% of them in other projects, but it's a pretty good ratio. A lot of these sessions ended up as templates for my debut album in 1999 on bip-hop (France) 'Social Electrics' - soon to be given away on bandcamp. Interesting aside, in the field opposite to the cottage was a small house which was the home of the singer Anneka who had a hit in the 80s with "Japanese Boy" www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCH1IlOfDTM
